Age of Furbo

City Builder game made in Unreal Engine based on a parody about present day football.

Build an empire from scratch investing in new buildings and workers. Customize the city´s progression choosing the upgrades on the various skill tree branches and move between the different game technology ages.

Roles & Responsibilities

GAME DESIGN

  • Designed and iterated on the game progression system and win conditions

  • Defined the playable map and building/resources sectors to encourage exploration and decission making

​

  • Designed a skill tree with different upgrades that players could level up in a customized way

​

  • Designed different building and resource types to guarantee variability and complexity in the game progression 

NARRATIVE DESIGN

  • Created the story outline and a motivating game objective to encourage players engagement on the story

​

  • Designed a skill tree and game ages according to the narrative main topic

​

  • Humoristic narrative theme ambiented in a real situation parody

SYSTEM DESIGN

  • Designed and iterated on the different game economy systems like building, resources and upgrades system

​

  • Iterated and tested on the multiple game systems to result on an accurate balancing between all the playable options
