Alone in the Woods

Survival Horror game made in Unreal Engine with a strong narrative component in which the protagonist wakes up alone in the middle of a forest and investigates what's going on.

Natural and supernatural beings await in the woods while the protagonist discovers that he's part of something bigger than he could imagine.

Roles & Responsibilities

GAME DESIGN

  • Designed the core player and enemy mechanics, specially iterating on the Character, Controls and Camera

  • Scripted the base gameplay mechanics with Unreal Engine Blueprints 

​​

  • Designed the inventory system

​

  • Designed the mission progression to help the gameplay flow

LEVEL DESIGN

  • Designed and iterated on the levels, creating the main blockout and the landscape, as well as the foliage system

  • Configured various enemies patrols patterns in order to optimize the game's stealth component

NARRATIVE DESIGN

  • Worked as Narrative Designer, writing the main story outlines and character backgrounds

  • Wrote the optional lore pick-ups, serving as a expansion of the main story
